The Perlmans are referred to in a passionate speech given by Walther Kurgan in the opening session of The Academy. Jurgen and Marta Perlman were Trainer of Trainers of Central Europe in the 1920's-1930's. Trained Karl Wein who trained Walther. The Perlmans were German Jews, whose students helped them to escape Germany in WWII. They are deceased.
